 TONI leviste's question

Like any other kid, I remember that I really loved receiving toys and eating gummy candies. I felt happy whenever I received material things and would throw tantrums if not given anything. I was spoiled by my parents because I was their youngest child but don't get me wrong, they also gave me an endless supply of love and affection.

Growing up, I also loved spending time with my family. Whether it be an out of town trip or just visiting a nearby mall. I remember happy moments with my siblings as well as bickering with them. When we were younger, we only had one computer and we would take turns using it. We had one hour each to play then repeat the cycle again after everyone has taken his/ her turn. At that time, there was no facebook, instagram, twitter or YouTube. Only friendster and online gaming sites were available so we spent most of our time playing outdoors and riding our bikes.

I did not enjoy physical activities when I was younger but swimming was an exception. My family and I enjoy visiting local beaches for vacation. I remember not minding if the sun was too hot or if I was swimming for too long. I swam even until I already had too much sunburn but I did not care, I loved swimming. I loved it so much that I asked my parents to let me take swimming lessons.

Looking back, I still love the things that I did when I was a child but of course my priorities have changed. I still value my family a lot up to this day and I still enjoy swimming. I'm thankful for the material things that I have but they are no longer what makes me happy. I now value God and my personal relationships and these are the what I love the most.
