weekly visit to dasma

November 19 & 20, 2017

I'm the youngest out of four siblings and my two older sisters are staying at their dorm in Dasmarinas, Cavite. I'm closest to my ate who just started studying in Dls-hsi as a first year medicine student. On weekends she usually goes home but last week she stayed at her dorm to study for an upcoming exam.  I was really looking forward to her coming home this weekend but then my mother told me that she won't be able to go home because she has things to do on Saturday so it would be a hassle for her to go home. I immediately felt sad and disappointed upon hearing this news because I really missed my sister.

As I was checking the Instagram stories of the people I followed, I came across my sister's post and decided to leave a comment. Minutes later she replied and also informed me that she was going home. I got excited and happy that I would finally see my sister and spend some time with her. When she arrived home, we catched up, hugged and made joked around. I was really having a great time just chatting with my sister.

On Sunday we went to church as a family then afterwards went home to eat lunch. My mom cooked  very delicious crabs. We ate and talked during lunch. After lunch my sister and I talked some more in our room since we shared rooms. I also curled her hair since I was really bored.

At 4:00 p.m. we left our house to go to Dasma since my sister had classes for tomorrow. When we arrived, my parents cleaned my sisters' dorm. My other sister was not there since she was on duty during that time. My eldest sister is already a resident physician. After cleaning the dorm we left and went to the nearest grocery store to buy all my sisters' stuff as well as things needed for our house. After grocery shopping we had dinner at Bonchon then went back to the dorm to drop my sister off. We arrived at our house by 10:00 p.m..

I still miss my sisters but I'm grateful for the bonding moments that we get to spend during the weekends even if it is only for two days. It's sad but I have to accept the fact that my sisters have to study for their future career as doctors.
